Suryakumar Yadav an unorthodox batsman from India made his International debut in T20I cricket at 30 years of age, which is rarely seen in Indian Cricket. When he came to bat, England’s star pacer Jofra Archer bowled a bouncer to him which Surya sent into the stands over Fine-Leg, with this he also became the 7th T20I batsman to hit the first ball for six to start his innings. In that match, SKY scored 57 runs in 31 balls with a strike rate of 183.87 including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Why Suryakumar Yadav is different from others in T20 cricket?

One major difference between Suryakumar Yadav and other batters is that Surya always has more than one option for a particular line and length so with the help of this he can play 360 degrees of cricket by hammering the bowlers all over the park. In one of the interviews, Rohit Sharma told that Surya enjoys playing on the big grounds because he can easily find gaps to play risk-free cricket. Also, he always plays his natural game irrespective of the situation he does not like to go run a ball, especially in T20I, he always looks for the boundaries in every 2-3 deliveries.

T20 cricket is evolving day by day and each team wants to reach the 120 runs mark within 12 to 13 overs due to this Suryakumar’s nature of keeping the strike rate high from one end which also sets the best template to play the T20s.
