England and Pakistan are OUT From T20 World Cup 2024
Each of the 4 groups of the T20 World Cup 2024 edition is getting pumped up, and also there have been some upsets that recently happened. In Group A of the T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan should have won their first two games but they preferred to choke. The U.S.A. cricket team consisting of part-time cricketers, surprised the entire cricket fraternity by winning their game against Pakistan in the Super Over.
Pakistan managed to score only 159 runs on a batting-friendly surface and in response, the U.S.A. almost chased the target but in the end, tight bowling from Pakistan helped them to move the game into the Super Over.
Then in the super over, Pakistan conceded only one boundary and still leaked 18 runs in the 6 deliveries due to extras. While defending, American pacer Netravalkar held his nerves pretty well and helped his team register a win over Pakistan. This game from T20 World Cup 2024 will be remembered for ages.
The much-awaited encounter of this T20 World Cup 2024 tournament was India vs Pakistan, Pakistan won the toss and opted to chase. They did pretty well while bowling first removing the Indian openers within the first 3 overs, and then restricted the Indian side at 119 runs in 19 overs only.
During the chase, Pakistan looked good and had a couple of close calls but managed to settle the innings till the end of 14 overs.
Pakistan went into ultra-defensive mode and made a mistake in targeting the right bowler. Jasprit Bumrah from India became the hero of the day by snatching the victory from Pakistan after dismissing the most important wicket of Rizwan.
Now so far, Pakistan has lost two out of four of their Group A matches in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, they are in a lot of trouble because of their poor form and the remaining two games will be must-win games but those wins would also not ensure their selection for the next Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024.
