Among the players in demand, openers will be targeted the most. There are quality openers who will be on the radar of the franchise. After the retention conclusion, the teams are left with the spots open for openers. The demand for the openers will be massive, and overseas openers could cash in on the opportunities.

Devon Conway

One of the finest on the international circuit. The left-hander has been sensational for New Zealand and CSK. Devon Conway performed tremendously well for the franchise. His ability to play spin well and take down the bowlers to give a good start to the team makes him a highly demanded-player. His records for the franchise are a testimony to his caliber. With a strike rate of 140, Conway has scored more than 900 runs in 23 matches. And, CSK will keep their RTM card ready to get this man again.

Jos Buttler

The English white-ball formats skipper Jos Buttler has been phenomenal for Rajasthan and will be on the player list of the franchises. His ability to shift the momentum in a few balls makes him a phenomenal player. One of the best and cleanest strikers of the ball in white-ball cricket, Buttler will be one of the most sought-after players in the auction. His ability to bat aggressively against both spin and pace is likely to get him a good price. His records themselves speak for the man. In 125 matches, Buttler has scored over 3200 runs with a strike rate of nearly 150. He will be over the moon after the auction.

Phil Salt

Another English opener who has a unique style of playing. Phil Salt’s attacking game has benefitted him majorly throughout his career and is also likely to get him a good amount. IPL 2024 was a turnaround year for him in IPL when KKR gave the liberty to the players to play their natural game. Naturally, a dominating player and sweet-timer of the ball, Phil Salt’s hard-hitting game earned him respect all around the world. In 21 matches, Salt has scored over 650 runs. The considerable thing about his batting is his strike rate, which is about 175. The skill set perfectly suits the demands of modern-day T20 cricket and is likely to favor him heavily.

Jake Fraser-McGurk

An upcoming attacking Aussie opener and the rightful successor to Warner. Jake Fraser has an incredible debut season in the IPL. His attacking cricket took everyone by surprise and was immediately fast-tracked in the international setup. Young and passionate as he is, there are some areas that he needs to work on. Quinton de Kock

A South African great wicketkeeper and a versatile opener of white-ball formats. Quinton de Kock has been one of the finest in the business ever since its debut on the international level. His attacking gameplay has won South Africa and the franchises many games and will be on the list of the franchises. His ability to take down the bowlers and go hard at them makes him a great T20 player.

His stint especially with Mumbai has been phenomenal and will be considered. In IPL, his records are too good for an overseas player. He has scored nearly 2600 runs at a strike rate of about 140 in just 92 matches. He is likely to be picked at a good price if he is on the radar of 2-3 franchises. He has taken retirement from international cricket but will be available for franchise tournaments.
