Two Karnataka Players to be Dropped from IND vs ENG 3rd Test Lineup
Before heading towards the IND vs ENG 3rd test, India has levelled the 5-test match series at 1-1 during the 2nd Test at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. India would have been leading the series by 2-0 if they had fielded a bit better in the 1st Test at Leeds. But after losing the 1st Test match, India quickly fixed the issues in their fielding department, which helped them to grab the 20 wickets.
Captain Shubman Gill took charge and led from the front by registering twin centuries in both innings of the 2nd test, and Gill also broke the record of the most runs scored by an Indian captain in Test format. Shubman Gill also became the first Indian captain to win a test match at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
India would not be looking to change anything in the setup, but would look to improve some areas where they lacked in the 2nd Test match. And, will look to dominate the WTC 2025-27 Points Table as well.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test Expected Changes:
The batting order looks pretty much sorted. Every batsman played important cameos whenever it was required, whether it was openers, middle-order, or lower-order. But at the same time, India has been constantly changing their number 3 position for a while and has not found a reliable candidate since the exit of Pujara. So far, India has used Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair at number 3 in the two test matches. Neither have they lived up to the expectations, but the win in the 2nd Test gave Karun another opportunity. There’s also a big chance that Abhimanyu Easwaran could get his debut cap for India in the 3rd Test match.
Then comes the bowling unit, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj did their best in both innings of the 2nd Test. Siraj registered a 6 haul in the 2nd innings, and Akash Deep registered a 10-wicket haul in the test match, including a 4-wicket and 6-wicket spells. Akash deep came in place of Bumrah but this duo handled the new ball very well, Prasidh Krishna was the one who has been the only concern in the fast bowling department. Most likely Prasidh would be benched to let Jasprit Bumrah in for he 3rd Test match.
