Most cricket fans must be waiting for this IPL 2023 Auction event, which is not more than a day ago. The IPL 2023 auction is on 23rd December at Kochi and will start at 2:30 PM IST on the Jio Cinema platform. All the eyes will be on the English duo Sam Curran and Ben Stokes as we all know that both are specialist all-rounders of the T20 format and have the capability to perform with both bat and ball.

Sam Curran who won the Player of the tournament award in the recent T20 World Cup 2022 and his teammate Ben Stokes played a crucial role in the finals to win the World Cup for England. Since then they both will be on the radar of each of the franchises and could bag a hefty amount in the IPL 2023 Auction. Here, we have prepared a list of some players from each of the following wicket-keeping, batting, bowling, and all-rounder departments who can bag a hefty amount.

Predicted Hot List of some players for the upcoming IPL 2023 Auction:

Wicket-Keeper: Nicholas Pooran, and Heinrich Klaasen.

Nicholas Pooran and Heinrich Klaasen are the best possible wicketkeeper batsmen to have in the squad who are unstoppable once they are in form. They both are also part of their respective nation’s T20I squads as well. Teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Gujarat Titans will be looking for this kind of player.

Batsmen: Harry Brook, and Kane Williamson.

Harry Brook is the upcoming star who can play a very crucial role in the middle order, he is a newcomer but his English domestic and international stats are very impressive. He was also part of the recent T20 World Cup champions England squad as well. Teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Kolkata Knight Riders need a clean hitter like him in the middle.

Kane Williamson, some teams need a leader like him and a player who can play the anchor role for the team. Kane fulfills the need for these qualities very well. Earlier he was with SRH but they released him because he was very much overpriced. But, they can still have a chance to get him back in half of the earlier amount. Teams like Punjab, and Hyderabad might get Kane at a reasonable price.

All-Rounders: Sam Curran, Ben Stokes, Rakheem Cornwell, and Cameron Green.

This department will be on fire during the entire auction. Many teams have widened their purse value after releasing some of their earlier key players for the above-mentioned players. Sam Curran and Ben Stokes anyone could be one of the highest-paid players of the IPL 2023 Auction. And, Cameron Green showed what he can do with both bat and ball during the T20I series against India in mid-September. Franchises with a purse value of more than INR 10 crores will be aggressive on these players.

Also, Rakheem Cornwell who has an exceptional six-hitting ability could be a key pick from the all-rounder’s list. If he is picked, could be the smartest buy of the IPL 2023 Auction. Cornwell is a powerplay specialist, he can lonely dominate any bowler in world cricket in the powerplay overs. Teams like Mumbai, Chennai, Lucknow, and Kolkata might go behind him.

Bowlers: Joshua Little, and Adam Zampa.

A left-arm Irish pacer Joshua Little impressed everyone with his variations and ability to bowl in the different situations of a game. He is just 23 years old and could be the costliest bowler of this IPL 2023 Auction. He has also got very good T20I stats as well with an economy rate of less than 8 and bagged 60 plus wickets in some 50 games. Teams like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Punjab, and Gujarat will be interested to include him in their squad.

Adam Zampa is an attacking leg-spin option, and a regular T20I member of his national side could also be picked in a reasonable amount as well. Teams like Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad lack in the leg-spin department so Zampa could be picked by any one of them.
