Uncapped Players Who Can Debut After IPL 2025
IPL has given many players chances to show their talent and unleash their potential. Some of them even went to represent the country on the international stage. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Abhishek Sharma, and Arshdeep Singh are notable names. The coming IPL 2025 will also see a lot of uncapped players doing their best to prove they belong on the biggest stage. Some of them have been performing for a long time at the domestic level and for quite some time in the IPL. A few players could get a chance after the IPL 2025 to represent India in the blue or white jersey.
Youngsters who can make a huge impact in the IPL 2025:
Priyansh Arya
Bought for INR 3.80 Crores by Punjab Kings, Priyansh Arya could turn the tables for Punjab Kings this time. Known for his excellent batting, Arya has proved it domestically. In the recently concluded SMAT 2024 season, Arya justified his selection by scoring 325 runs in 9 matches at a 40.63 average. His strike rate of 176.63 will catch the attention of the selectors. Striking at 237, Arya scores a fantastic hundred against UP in just 42 deliveries. His ability to score runs at a quick rate could earn him a place in the national side, and being a lefty could uplift his selection scenarios.
Prabhsimran Singh
A dominant opener who likes to attack from the word go. Prabhsimran Singh has a proven track record at the domestic level. He has also shown his potential in the IPL as well. Retained by the PBKS, Prabhsimran would like to have a good IPL, which would help to earn him his debut cap. In the SMAT 2024, he had a decent season with the bat, Prabhsimran scored 207 runs in 6 matches at an average of 34.50 and striking at 165.60. His ability to take the bowlers on makes him a strong candidate for the opening spot in the coming times. Also, the Indian cricket team requires a backup wicketkeeper and someone who can be the opener along with keeping the wickets.
Anshul Kamboj
Earlier with Mumbai and now bought by CSK at INR 3.40 Crores for IPL 2025, Kamboj has all the skills to be a regular member of the Indian team. The 24-year-old from Haryana recently caught everyone’s attention by picking up 10 wickets in an inning of a Ranji match against Kerala, and in total, he has taken 29 wickets in just 5 Ranji games. Anshul Kamboj had a decently good SMAT, picking up 9 wickets in 7 matches at an economy of 6.73, and was also in the top 5 wicket-takers list in the recent Vijay Hazare season. Rated highly in the domestic circuit, the young lad has a massive opportunity to make a name for himself in the cricketing world.
The Indian cricket team is always in search of a wicket-taking fast bowler who can contribute across all the formats of cricket. Anshul Kamboj could be the right fit for the role. One good IPL season would be enough to bring the talent into the international side.
Ashutosh Sharma
One of the two finds of the IPL 2024, Ashutosh Sharma, had everyone’s attention for his finishing ability. Striking at 167 with an average of 82, Ashutosh scored 164 runs in 5 matches. His maturity at this early age stands him out from the rest of the squad. For IPL 2025 Delhi Capitals acquired him for INR 3.8 Crores. Now with him in the squad, Delhi Capitals would like to capitalize on his potential and would want him to play the same role as he did in the middle order with Pujab Kings. India may look to Ashutosh as a backup finisher in the team and may try him in the setup.
Ayush Badoni
Ayush Badoni had an average SMAT 2024 scoring just 180 runs in 8 matches at an average of 22.50. However, let’s not get carried away by the stats. He is one of the cleanest strikers of the ball in the Indian circuit and apart from easily taking on the bowlers, he is a handy bowler who can bowl in the middle overs. The upcoming IPL 2025 will be a massive opportunity for him to unleash himself and make a name for himself. Already showed trust by retaining him at INR 4 Crores, LSG won’t mind giving this youngster a longer run in the tournament and winning the coveted title. The Indian team would love to have this young, stylish all-rounder in the squad in the future.
These are the players who can make their debut in the national team after the IPL 2025.
