Sharma said that on asking Travis Head about winning strategy during the World Cup, Head replied that there was only batting strategy. The Australian team used to have batting meetings and targeted a score of 400 during the match. He lauded Cummins and Head, stating despite being veteran cricketers, they both are very approachable.

Sharma recalled that during a match against Pakistan, he gained ample experience. Working with senior players like Rahul, motivated him to learn and use the opportunity for future improvements.
