On Day 1, Sunrisers Hyderabad almost got Arshdeep Singh for a value of INR 15.75 Crores but later was snatched by Punjab Kings through RTM. But, from the Marquee set 2 they got Mohammed Shami at a fair price of INR 10 Crores who could be very effective along with Cummins.

SRH did not purchase a single overseas player and put their major focus on Indian capped and uncapped players. They have found replacements for Bhuvi and Natarajan as Harshal and Shami. And, bought Rahul Chahar and Adam Zampa as leg-spinners. They will be heading towards Day 2 with a mere purse value of INR 5.15 Crores.
