Uncapped Indian All-Rounders to Draw Big Purse in the IPL 2025 Auction

All the franchises will be keeping a keen eye on the talented uncapped Indian all-rounders in the IPL 2025 Auction. The auction pool will witness several all-rounders going under the hammer. Some will have luck going their way while some will have to wait for another year. The Indian domestic circuit has a lot of all-rounders performing fully to their potential. It will become interesting to see who goes to which team per the demand and requirements.

Some will get a big purse, and some a base price. Interestingly, there are a few all-rounders who have earlier experience playing in the IPL. They are most likely to get a good price and hopefully back in the same team.

Let’s look at the all-rounders who are likely to bag a good price in the IPL 2025 Auction:

Ramandeep Singh

A destructive batsman and a regular member of the Punjab team in domestic cricket. Ramandeep Singh possesses the quality to excel as a T20 player. He can open the innings, bat in the middle-order, and give an over or two if required. Ramandeep was given a good run in the IPL 2024 and did a wonderful job for the KKR team.

Ramandeep Singh scored 125 runs at a strike rate of 200. His the ability to finish the innings and he can also bowl. Playing for the Punjab domestic team, Ramandeep has scored almost 500 runs and picked 18 wickets in 56 matches.

The franchises will be going after him in the auction and is likely to receive a good amount.

Shahrukh Khan

A destructive all-rounder from Tamil Nadu who can clean the boundaries with ease. Shahrukh Khan was rated highly and got a big purse of INR 5.25 Crore and INR 9 Crore for his domestic cricket exploits and first season in IPL. Known for big hits, Khan has played with a strike rate of over 165 in the last two IPLs.

He has been incredible with the bat in domestic cricket, scoring over 1000 runs in T20s. Shahrukh Khan, as an off-spinner, can give an over or two depending on the situation. On turning tracks, his bowling and ability to take down the spinners can be fruitful to the team.

He will hope for another chance in the IPL and have an exciting season ahead.

Nishant Sindhu

A U-19 World Cup winner and a regular member of the Haryana team, Nishant Sindhu’s phenomenal outing in the World Cup earned him CSK faith. However, he didn’t get a chance to make his debut. In the ongoing Emerging Asia Cup, Nishant Sindhu has done an incredible job bowling economically and picking wickets when needed.

A youngster at the age of 20 has done an incredible job for Haryana scoring 237 runs in 18 matches and picking 14 wickets. With age on his side, teams will be looking to have a player of his caliber on their side.

Tanush Kotian

Seen as a successor of R Ashwin, Tanush Kotian has done a phenomenal job for his domestic side. In 32 first-class matches, Kotian has scored nearly 1500 runs at an average of more than 42. Also, he has 100 wickets to his name with an economy of 3.28.

In three matches in the Duleep Trophy, Kotian picked 10 wickets and scored 121 runs. The best part was his bailing the team out of trouble at a crucial stage and holding one end. The franchises and the scouts would have an eye on him and bid to have him on their teams.

Sumit Kumar

The 28-year-old, fast-bowling all-rounder from Haryana could be on the radar of a few franchises for his exploits in domestic T20s. Sumit Kumar has been sensational for Haryana, picking 43 wickets at an economy of 7.5 and scoring and scoring almost 600 runs at a strike rate of 131.

Many teams will be looking for a fast-bowling all-rounder, and Sumit could be the answer to it. He has played four matches for DC, but unfortunately, he couldn’t replicate his domestic performance in league cricket. But, Sumit Kumar would love to have another chance in the IPL and prove his worth to the team.

The teams will be looking for a genuine all-rounder who could serve the team for a longer period, at least till the next cycle. The demand for the all-rounder could see a hike in the price tag of some potentially value-for-money players. It will be interesting to look at the management’s approach and the team’s requirements.
