IPL Title Sponsors List

Indian Premier League faced some issues while managing the tile right earlier Title Sponsor Vivo backed out a couple of times after bagging the rights and agreeing to BCCI terms.

Vivo came into the picture when Pepsi backed out in the middle of their contract period (2013-2017) due to fixing scandals before the start of the IPL 2016 season. So BCCI gave the rights to the Chinese brand VIVO for the remaining two years in a 100 Crore deal. Then VIVO saw the right opportunity to improve its branding in India so they purchased the IPL 2018-2022 rights as well from the auction for INR 2200 Crore.

Due to Covid and border tensions with China VIVO had to exit from the year 2020, and the Indian brand Dream11 got the rights for that year in INR 222 Crore. Vivo came back in the 2021 season, then VIVO also agreed to pay for the 2022 and 2023 deals but did not keep their word. Then, BCCI sold the IPL 2022-2023 rights to the Tata Group for INR 670 Crore. So, that was all about the IPL title sponsors list.
