IPL Auctions involve everyone, which creates a lot of enthusiasm. However, the bidding war on a particular player makes it more intense and thrilling when a couple of teams desperately want that player. This has happened in most of the auctions where a player gets extraordinary bids than everyone’s expectations.

Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer are the only Indian cricketers in the history of IPL Auctions to receive bids over 20 Crores.

Pat Cummins became the first player to cross the mark of INR 20 Crores in the IPL Auctions in 2024 and following him his Australian mate broke all the records by getting the highest ever bid amount of INR 24.75 Crores.

Out of the top 10 most expensive players, 4 players are Indians and the rest are overseas cricketers.
